I posed this question to a few flying friends, but wanted some international pilot feedback.
In the USA most instructors teach the forward launch technique by having the risers over the forearms, the A's in the palms of the hands and the arms BACK and out to the side as the pilot runs forward to launch the glider.
However, I see that many international and European pilots use a different method of holding the A risers in the hands with the hands up about shoulder height and pushing the A risers gently forward as the pilot runs forward.
Why the difference in technique? What are the pros and cons of each?
Any Suggestion Would be appreciate.
