I seem to be losing my touch for landing flare. I have been paragliding for a long time, but lately it seems my landings in no-wind conditions have been getting worse. I never used to think too much about it , but now I seem to be either flaring too early or too late. I have been experimenting with different techniques, but nothing seems to work consistently well.
Please give me your techniques or systems for; altitudes to begin final approach, landing approach speeds, and flare type, style, and timing.
In other words; should I do a long straight final with hands up, then slowly pull brakes starting at about six feet? Or should I allow the canopy to surge slightly at a certain altitude, then flare hard?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
